A wereape was a type of lycanthrope that could turn into an ape.[1]
Description[]
These weretypes could be hill giants in their original humanoid form.[1]
History[]
In 467 DR, a dire wereape known as Dermos the Proud claimed to be the deity of evil lycanthropes, Malar. His following quickly became large, filled with zealous members, who were ordered to kill all Arkaiuns who would oppose them. Him and all members of his beast cult would be killed two years later, in the Year of the Dusty Library, 469 DR, at the Ambush of Blackrock Ridge.[1]
