A wereweasel, or dire wereweasel,[2] was a type of lycanthrope that could take on the form of a humanoid, a giant weasel, or a weasel-humanoid hybrid.[1][2]
Description[]
Wereweasels had three forms: humanoid, dire / giant weasel, and hybrid.[1][2]
Not only humans were known to become wereweasels,[2] but dwarves were noted to as well.[1] All known wereweasels were chaotic and evil.[1][2]
Behavior[]
Such lycanthropes were able to hunt quickly, and matched the high speed of werejaguars.[2] They were very stealthy and alert, could endure several attacks.[1]
Combat[]
Wereweasels were known to attack with a deadly bite[2] that could cause lycanthropy.[1] If they were able to latch on to their enemies, they could drain them of blood.[2] In hybrid form, wereweasels were generally well-armored, and favored attacking with their claws and bite.[1]
Ecology[]
These weasel-like shapechangers usually spent time around giant weasels, and were often found in groups of two to eight.[2]
History[]
In the 14th century DR, several wereweasels were known to work for the Chosen of Malar, anth-Malar.[1]
