Wise ones were specialty priests devoted to Curna, which was how Oghma was known in the lands of Estagund, Durpar, and Var the Golden.[1]
Abilities[]
These individuals possessed a knack for identifying a magic item's general function. This skill grew as the wise one aged. Wise ones excelled at casting any divination sphere spells, doing so at a higher skill level than their rank portrayed.[1]
Wise ones were granted several powers as they progressed including comprehend languages, friends, zone of truth, hold person, and blinding flash. Each of these abilities could be used once per day. Additionally, wise ones gained the permanent benefits of free action.[1]
Possessions[]
Wise ones wielded blunt weapons. The typically carried a shield and wore non-metallic armor.[1]
