History
The city is built on the site of an ancient quarry.[2]Many great buildings in Selgaunt, Saerloon, Westgate, Alaghôn, Cimbar and Velprintalar were built with Yhauntan stone.[3]
In 1385 DR the cliffs of stone in the city broke away and became earthmotes.[4]
