Zotha was a godlike being who, according to the Book of the World, created the Crystal Sun at the beginning of time, while the primordial Asgorath created Toril. Asgorath cast Zotha down from the heavens, and Zotha is not mentioned again.[1]
The Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide states that Asgorath actually cast down an "ice moon,"[2] while the Draconomicon (1990) speculates that this was probably one of the Tears of Selûne.[3].
The identity of Zotha, whether god or primordial or something else, is unknown.
